point6 Merino Wool Socks in for Review
Unfamiliar with point6? Get familiar. Founded by Patty and Peter Duke, the same pioneers that first introduced merino wool to the outdoor industry when they created the company Smartwool. Now, 16 years later with the sale of Smartwool complete and in the past, the Dukes have set out to expand and improve on their last business venture. The poin6, website boasts, “once you’ve experienced point6, your socks life will never be the same again.” With a statement like that it caught our attention and as such we contacted point6 in order to review some of their merino wool socks engineered specifically for hiking and skiing.
We said get familiar…we mean it, check out the videos on the point6 website under the About Us section of their site. For me, buying outdoor gear isn’t entirely about the product (although it weighs heavily into my decision), but I like to buy from company’s with the right attitude and do business with people that are fun to do business with. For me, point6 has struck a chord deep inside of me and “had me at hello.” I think they’ll tickle your fancy too…maybe even make you chuckle.
Upon first glance of these beauties one notices the reinforced areas of the sock as well as the soft merino wool. Who says a sock needs to be just a sock? The superior material, styling and reinforced areas of the sock makes them something to salivate over. We’re looking forward to getting our feet snug into a pair soon!

Man, I would love a pair of these. My wife got me some awesome Timberland socks for Christmas and I absolutely love them. These sound even better!

I have yet to get a pair of these merino wool socks, but Smartwool is awesome, so I’m sure they’re of similar or higher quality. It’s been years since I’ve worn a pair of socks that isn’t wool. It’s amazing the advances made in synthetics, but they still can’t top that wool!

These are great socks. They give great support and I’m sure have lessened fatigue when I’m on my legs all day.
